It seemed appropriate for my first blog post of 2019 to be one about new beginnings, specifically the new beginnings of little baby Tristan!
I first met Inez when we were both pregnant with our first babies. We (and our daughters) have remained firm friends ever since so I was delighted and touched when she and her partner Daniel asked me to document these precious final days of their pregnancy.
Daniel had been overseas in the weeks leading up to Tristan’s birth so we left the shoot incredibly late (only a few days to go before the due date!) so that he could be there too. I can’t pretend that I didn’t feel a little nervous about heading off into the wintery woods with such a very heavily pregnant lady (we had joked about bringing towels just in case!) but Inez was totally unfazed and was happily scrambling up banks and over logs! Supermum or what?!
Thankfully, my nerves were misplaced, Tristan stayed put a few more days and we managed these beautiful earthy and intimate shots. Given how gorgeous these two are, it won’t surprise you to hear that their little son is a TOTAL DREAMBOAT of a baby and I cannot wait to give him a big cuddle!
