I have said it before and I’ll say it again: I absolutely LOVE being an elopement photographer in Cornwall! And this St Ives elopement was particularly gorgeous. Fiona and David had decided to escape to Cornwall for a break with their closest family and to tie the knot at the Guildhall in St Ives.
I started the day with Fiona and her family at their sweet Sty Ives holiday cottage before we were taken by a beautiful VW Camper to the Guildhall for the ceremony. After the vows and some confetti on the steps the campervan took Fiona, David and I to The Island for a walk and some shots of the two of them – St Ives really does have it all: As well as a buzzing town, the landscape and views are just out of this world, perfectly wild and romantic. The rest of the family then caught us up for some more family shots and a breath of fresh air before we wandered back through the town.
The couple had decided to go for a laid-back family meal at The Mermaid, one of the town’s oldest and quirkiest seafood restaurants – the perfect place to round off this super relaxed and fun day.
