This was my second Penmorvah Manor wedding, the last one I covered was extremely stormy and rainy with little opportunity to explore the beautiful grounds or take in the stunning sea views so I was thrilled to wake to the most gorgeous warm, sunny autumn day for Rachel and Phil’s big day.
I spent the morning with Rachel, her bridesmaids and their daughters getting ready at the manor – I love busy bridal preps with lots going on and these ladies were so much fun and obviously share a really special bond. When Rachel was all ready to go she handed out the bouquets and had included a very special surprise for her maid of honour – her bouquet was adorned with a picture of her mother who had passed away. I think that above all else, Rachel’s thoughtful attention to detail is what I will always remember from this wedding: A lovely remembrance table had been set up next to the wedding cake with pictures of missed family and friends – seeing various guests tenderly pick these up throughout the day was so touching and brought more than one tear to my eye!
There were lots of children at the wedding and the Penmorvah gardens were just perfect for keeping them entertained with trees to hide in, a climbing frame and swings. Rachel and Phil had also hired a bouncy castle, a sweet cart and a photobooth – so there was plenty to keep them happy all day!
Here are a few of my favourite images from a beautiful and fun-filled day.
